At Wimborne Therapy Centre we have a number of therapits working in private practice offering a combination of one to one, couple and family work. Although we all work independently we find it useful working in the one Centre as we know we can sometimes suggest a different therapist for you to work with if we feel you would benefit more from seeing them.
What Wimborne Therapy Centre offers to you is an assurance that all the therapists who work here are fully qualified and work within a recognised ethical framework.

Each therapist sets their own fee for therapy and some offer a concessionary rate in certain circumstances. Wimborne Therapy Centre is also pleased to support Oracle Counselling which is an affordable counselling service covering Dorset and the South of Hampshire.

About Wimborne Therapy Centre
Wimborne Therapy Centre has three consulting or therapy rooms that offer a safe and confidential space for therapy. There is an entryphone system from the main street and the Therapy Centre is located on the first floor. Therapists tend to liaise with each other to ensure clients are not arriving or leaving the therapy centre at the same time as other clients so confidentiality is maintained.
The consulting rooms are designed to be a comfortable space for you to explore feelings, emotions and experiences in a safe and confidential atmosphere.

The Centre is open between 08:00 and 22:00 every day with different therapists working at different times.
Being based in Wimborne it is easily accessible to people living in Bournemouth, Broadstone, Corfe Mullen, Ferndown, Poole, Sturminster Marshall, Upton, Verwood and West Moors or many of the other towns and villages in South and East Dorset. Wimborne is also well situated for access from North Dorset with Shaftesbury only being 30 minutes away by car. Ringwood and other towns just over the Dorset border are equally near by car.

Pricing Structure for Room Hire
The Wimborne Therapy Centre rents therapy rooms at a low hourly or sessional rate to therapists who are seeking a suitable space to develop their practice. The Centre was initially opened to help therapists moving into private practice or into the Wimborne / Dorset area to rent rooms on a flexible and affordable basis as their work increased. The pricing structure is as follows:
Hourly rate £7.50 per hour
Half Day (08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00) £30.00
Full Day (08:00 - 18:00) £55.00
Late cancellation or no show 50% of rental fee. (A late cancellation is less than 24 hours before booking is due to commence)
We have a computerised booking system so you can book on-line whilst on the telephone with your client rather than needing to 'phone them back to confirm appointments. The other advantage to this is that you can see what time other therapists are in the building and seeing clients so you can arrange a time when clients will not 'meet' each other on the stairs or at the front door!

If therapists wish to have their names included on this website there is a £5.00 monthly fee provided they are renting a room at the Centre. If therapists are not renting rooms but wish their details to be placed on this website there is a £8.00 monthly fee payable in advance. This will entitle the therapist to have a dedicated page for their information to be listed for clients.
Minimum Requirements to Rent a Room
All therapists have to provide evidence of the following:
• Qualifications.
• Indemnity Insurance.
• Supervision Arrangements.
• Membership of Professional Body. (Specifically, BACP, UKCP, BPC, Analytic Societies, BABCP)
• Accreditation Certificate if applicable.
• Reference.
