Pauline Drummond

Profile:

I am in private practice at Wimborne Therapy Centre, where I work with individual adults who seek help for emotional, physical and/or psychological difficulties concerning their personal and family experiences, careers, or relationships.

I am a qualified member of the British Association of Psychotherapists (Jungian section) and offer longer-term analytic therapy directed at personal development.

Organisational membership :

British Association of Psychotherapists

Registration body:

British Psychoanalytic Council

Training qualifications & experience:

Advanced analytic training with the British Association of Psychotherapists (2006); Diploma in Counselling with accreditation from the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (1994); MA degree (Edinburgh) and Certificate in Education (London)

I have experience of training and working with a psychodynamic approach to therapeutic treatment since 1991. I also offer supervision to counsellors and others in training, and I am a training therapist for individuals who undertake qualifying courses in psychodynamic therapy & practice.

Jungian therapy is usually longer-term but I can offer brief psychodynamic therapy of 6 – 8 sessions when considered the appropriate course of therapy during the assessment process.

Issues that I work with: depression, stress and anxiety, bereavement and loss, separation/divorce, post-traumatic symptoms, addictive behaviour, loss of confidence or self-esteem, lack of direction, identity problems, work-related issues, or a wish for a more expressive and creative life.

Fees:

£42 – 48 with fees payable for all arranged sessions. Fees are discussed at the initial interview as well as any concessions.

Additional information:

I offer an initial meeting to discuss your situation and your wishes in terms of the therapy that you are seeking. In one or more sessions of assessment we would focus upon your issues and any contributing factors, and we would discuss how a psychodynamic approach might be beneficial for you. After assessment, if a course of therapy is agreed, sessions will be held at a minimum of once weekly, and details of the arrangement will be fully explored.
